3 Days to JWC

What you need to know for Joomla World Conference 2014

Here are the three things you need to know before you get to Joomla World Conference (JWC).

First, look at the program. There are multiple tracks for all types of attendees. And a first for JWC, an all Spanish track. Also pay attention to the last minute changes that occur. They will be announced every morning if there are any. Given the plethora of international speakers there is bound to be at least one who is travel issues and may be rescheduled.

Second, MAMP/WAMP/WebMatrix. If you are developing and hitting the developer tracks, make sure to have a local development environment prepare with a fresh install of Joomla. You'll be able to hit the ground running when integrating Joomla with Azure or updating templates.

Finally, networking. Bring your business cards, share your contact information, tweet, post on LinkedIn, Facebook and Google+, and talk to everyone. The community is fantastically friendly and inviting. Don't be afraid of asking any question to any one. At worst, you'll be sent in the best direction. Also, make sure to follow @arctg, and #JWC14.

Arc is a sponsor and presenter at JWC. Make sure to attend our presentation How Joomla! and Microsoft are a Great Open Source Success. We look forward to seeing you and speaking with you!
