Yesterday we installed a trial version of JomSocial, and today made it available to a select group of testers (n=25), as the basis for a "Evanston Business & Technology Community."
Initial observations:
In a blog posting today, Azrul announced that he will be introducing JomSocial at the CMS EXPO in Denver on December 5. (Specific time TBA.)
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in social networking and social media to get in on the ground floor with the newest Joomla extension.

Azrul is the developer of such products as MyBlog (which this blog is written on). I've found extremely strong interest in MyBlog among the Web 2.0 community, with a strong stream of visitors to the review of MyBlog I wrote on the Joomla Chicago site.
