i-Street Magazine: Spam and Pop-Ups Print EMAIL

Readers weigh in on spam and pop-ups

Handling popups the supreme nuisance and other methods of coping

"With spam, we use an onion approach. Multiple layers weeding out the most obvious can make your life so much better. Our ISP's mail server does constant filtering and handles approximately 70 percent of incoming spam with no false positives. When fighting spam you always want to make sure you can still get that new mortgage mail from your legitimate mortgage lender and in a business, false positives can throw out critical mail. The second layer is at the desktop. Our company utilizes Eudora for its security and extensibility," says Robert Jacobi, president of Aesiq.
